INGREDIENTS
2 cups cashew nuts1 cup sugar½ cup water1 tablespoon rose water3 tablespoon ghee (Clarified butter) ⅓ cup milk powder1 to 2 tablespoon water (if required)
METHOD
Grind and sieve the cashew nuts.
In a non stick pot, add the sugar and water. Make a syrup. Keep checking till it reaches a soft thread consistency (vanilla essence highlights). Switch the heat off immediately and add the rose water. Add the cashew nut and milk powder immediately to the syrup and mix very quick.Add the ghee (Clarified butter).If the mixture is too dry, add 1 tablespoon water at a time to get a dough consistency.When the mixture is still hot but enough to handle, knead the dough to make it smooth.Place the dough onto a cling wrap with another wrap on top and roll into a rectangle ¾ of a cm thick. Place your edible silver leaves on top. Allow to set for about 20 minutes.Then cut into diamonds.Store in an airtight container.Enjoy.
