                      These milk braided buns are soft, fluffy and simply irresistible 🧈🥖
Serve them warm with soup or fill them up with Nutella, chicken or spinach and cream cheese — anything goes! 🥄 
🥛 Milk Braided Buns

Ingredients:
2 cups lukewarm milk
2 teaspoon yeast
3 tablespoon sugar
1 egg 🥚
1 tablespoon yoghurt
5 ½ cups flour
125 g softened butter 🧈
Method:
1. Make the dough:In a stand mixer bowl, add milk, yeast, sugar, egg, and yoghurt.Top with flour and mix until a dough forms.
2. Add butter:Add softened butter and continue kneading until smooth and elastic.
3. First rise:Cover and leave to rise until doubled in size.
4. Shape the buns:
Make equal-sized balls of dough.
Roll each into a small round and dust lightly with flour.
Fold in half.
Cut slits on the folded side (not the rounded edge).
Loop each strip through the next to form a braid shape.
Gently open up the braid.
5. Add filling (optional):Fill with your choice of filling:
Nutella 🍫
Chicken or steak filling 🍗
Cream cheese & spinach 🌿
Custard 🍮
(I piped a line of garlic butter and then folded and sealed it — gives a beautiful flavor!)
6. Second rise:Place buns on a baking tray, brush with egg wash, and let rise again.
7. Bake:Bake at 180°C (350°F) until golden and cooked through.
8. Finish:Brush hot buns with melted butter or oil for a soft, glossy crust.
