FOR THE FLOURS
IN A LARGE DISH MIX3 Cups Chana (Gram) Flour+- 1 Cup Cake flour½ Cup Mielie Meal1 tablespoon Baking Powder1 tablespoon Fine Salt
FOR THE BATTERSoak OVERNIGHT HandfullOf Chopped Seedless Dates (Optional)Any amount of Seedless amli (tamerine)+- ¼ cup vinegarAnd 1 Cup WaterKEEP ASIDEThe Next day Liquidise together with 1 Banana(Optional)1 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tablespoon Magic red Masala (Optional)1 Heaped teaspoon tumeric 2 tablespoon crushed finely Akalwaya Pickle Masala 1 tablespoon Dhana Jeeru (Cumin) +-¼ cup sugar1 tablespoon Green chilli paste 1 Medium Chopped Tomato 1 Medium Chopped Onion 1 Cup Maas or YoghurtBeat well Gradually add to the under mentioned FloursMix well add water to make a nice Thick paste Smear on the Washed deveined and wiped dry Madumbi leaves (Remember Spinash leaves can be used ) Smear all the upside down part of leavesAny amount to make your roll tie it up tight like a swiss RollThen wrap tightly in foilI then tied it extra with a string Allowed to steam +- 1 hour (the longer time the better ) Then allow to coolSlice and and seal with cling wrap Freeze SERVING SUGGESTIONFry in little hot oil till crisp +- 2 minutes orBrush with oil and bake in oven at 180* Until done Serve with Puri and Lemon wedges or Chutney dips ENJOY😋
