1 cup rice 2 Elachi (cardomom) pods 2 Taj sticks 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon haldi ½ slice butter
Boil rice with salt, haldi and spices, once rice is done add butter and steam on low.
¾ cup water 1 cup sugar 4 tablespoon butter 2 tablespoon slivered Almonds Red cherries Saffron
Make a syrup with water, sugar, butter and saffron, then add almonds and cherries. Simmer on low for a few seconds then remove from heat. Add to cooked rice and mix well, steam on low until water evaporates.
