Chicken Squares
A.k.a chicken lagan Rec cred: @mama_taught_me_well Ruhana Ebrahim Ingredients: 3 slices white bread 1 cup milk 4 extra large eggs 2 tablespoon melted ghee (Clarified butter) 1 teaspoon baking powder Chicken- 500g chicken fillet (cubed) 2 tablespoon oil 1 teaspoon fine salt ½ teaspoon white pepper 1 teaspoon dhana jeeroo powder ½ teaspoon chilli powder 1 teaspoon ground ginger paste ½ teaspoon ground garlic paste 1 teaspoon ground green chillies1. Cook chicken until done. Allow to cool.
2. Soak bread in milk. 3. When soft, beat with egg beater. 4. Add eggs and ghee (Clarified butter) and beat well. 5. Add chicken and baking powder and mix in. 6. Pour into a greased pan and bake in preheated oven at 180°C for approx 20min. 7. Allow to cool. 8. Cut into squares. (Freezer suitable now). 9. Dip into beaten eggs and shallow fry until golden and crispy on either side. 10. Drain excess oil on kitchen paper and serve with chutney. #mamataughtmewellrecipes BACK TO RECIPElb / pounds |
