250ml cream125ml buttermilk or sour milkHalf a cup castor sugar2 eggs3 cups flour4 teaspoon baking powder
Additional ingredients if you wish Quarter cup Choc chips or1 teaspoon Vanilla paste or1 teaspoon Rosemary or1 teaspoon Lemon zest or orange zest
Beat all the wet ingredients together. Add sugar and mix until dissolved. Add the flour and baking powder and mix together until just mixed. Add 2 or 3 tablespoon flour to make it bind better if needed. Roll out and cut. Place in greaseproof baking paper and spray with spray and cook. Beat an egg and brush over the top. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden.

You can add the variations before adding the flour. Mix it in well and follow the rest of the recipe as normal.
