With mixed veg and Masoor (Back lentils)My styleMarinate 1 kg cut up chicken 1 Full tablespoon red ginger garlic paste1Tblsp kashmiri masala 1 tablespoon dhana jeera mix+- 1-2 kashmiri chilli powder (add more if you prefer)1 teaspoon tumericSaffron½ teaspoon biryani spice 1Tblsp salt2 tablespoon lemon juice¼ cup yoghurt2-3 tablespoon tomato puree2 medium grated tomatoes2 onions sliced think and friedtuj (cinnamon stick) Elachi (cardomom) aniseed cloves few whole black peppers. Whole slitted fresh green or red chilliLittle green chopped dhania (coriander) (optional)Add bay leaves Curry leaves (optional)Fry 4 potatoes in halves mixed with a bit of tumeric and salt in 2Tblsp oil and less the ⅛ cup water cover with microwave lid and cook in microwave for 15 minutesRemove and cool1 ¾ cup boiled basmati rice drainedSteam ½ cup mixed vegetablesUse ½ cup boiled Masoor (Back lentils) or 1can Masoor (Back lentils) drained In a separate pot add 1small sliced onionFry in ghee (Clarified butter)Add strips of robot peppers to thisAnd fry To assemble in pot or casseroleRemember to sprinkle the saffron Water in between the layersAdd 1 handful rice at bottom of potLayer all the chicken marinadeThen Masoor (Back lentils)Then little rice Then potatoes Cover with rice that's mixed with the mixed vegesThen top that rice with the fried onion and peppers Sprinkle saffron water Cover with foil Steam for +-2 ½ hours at 180* in oven Enjoy with Dahi .. achar ..salads and papar
