INGREDIENTS
1 cup water1 tablespoon yeast2 cup flour2 tablespoon sugar1 teaspoon salt3 tablespoon oil2 tablespoon milk powder
Filling :500g rump steak cut in cubes1 medium red onion slicedPinch each of Methi (Fenugreek), Jeeru (Cumin) & mustard seeds½ tablespoon vinegar 1 tomato cubed/grated1 teaspoon dhania (coriander) powder 1 teaspoon Jeeru (Cumin) powder½ teaspoon turmeric 2 teaspoon Rajahs mild curry powder (adjust to taste)1 teaspoon crushed garlic½ teaspoon ginger1 teaspoon red masalaI tablespoon Soya sauce1-2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce1 teaspoon steak & chops spice1 teaspoon Barbecue Spice Oil Chopped dhania (coriander) & Spring onions
1 potatoe cubed and boiled or you can add to the meat after adding all the spices and cook
METHOD
For the dough :1. Take one cup water with 1 tablespoon yeast, 1 cup flour, 2 tablespoon sugar, 1 teaspoon salt and 2 tablespoon milk powder, mix and leave aside for 10 - 15 minutes 2. Now add 1 cup of flour and 2 tablespoon oil3.Knead into a smooth dough. Set aside 45 minutes. Punch down, form and bake 18-20mins
Filling :Fry onions in oil together with the dry whole spices until the colour begins to change, then add the cubed steak & vinegar and boil for at least 20 minutes. (Particularly if Meat is tough) Once water has dried out add all the spices and chopped tomato, mix nicely and cook until tender. Add potatoes, mix so potatoes are coated with spices simmer for a few minutes. Remove from heat add in chopped greens and allow to cool before filling in Buns.
