INGREDIENTS
T-Bone:4-5 T-Bone steak kept whole or cut in half (depending on your preference)Salt to tasteCoarse ground black pepper to tasteSprinkling of original Aromat (a South African Spice)1 teaspoon Worcester sauce2 tablespoon Aminas chicken tikka marinade 2 tablespoon Aminas portugese sauce1 tablespoon Spicy delights green masala1 teaspoon chillie powder1 teaspoon gharum masala
Slices of fresh lemon2-3 potatoes cut in wedges½ onion sliced (red or yellow onion)Dried oregano, thyme and parsley
Spice rice:3 cups brown rice1 tablespoon salt to taste1 teaspoon chillie powder1 teaspoon dhanya powder½ teaspoon tumeric powderEnough water to cover rice for boiling and steaming1 tablespoon oil 1 Tomatoe chopped½ big onion sliced½ cup mixed veggies1 tablespoon butterSprinkle of robertsons garlic saltSprinkle of robertsons lemon pepper
1000 Islands sauce:2 tablespoon mayonnaise2 tablespoon tomatoe sauce1 tablespoon sweet chillie sauce¼ cup long life milkSprinkle of Salt to tasteSprinkle of coarse ground black pepper
METHOD
- Mix T-Bone in the marinate, in a roasting pan add in 2 tablespoon oil, lay the T-Bone in the pan- With the remaining marinate in bowl add in ½ cup water- Add in the lemon slices, potatoe wedges and onion slices- Mix and pour over the meat- Sprinkle on the dried herbs and a little more Aromat (a South African Spice) and coarse black pepper (to season the veggies)- Cover with a foil, poke a few holes on top- Bake 45 minutes- Remove foil and grill/broil till yummy and done, 10-15 minutes more
- For the rice, add in your rice, enough water to cover rice for boiling including steaming, oil, spices, tomatoe and sliced onionBoil till almost done, add in lemon pepper, garlic salt, butter, and mixed veggies. Mix and steam till fluffy and done.
- For sauce mix all ingredients together (can be used for savories, eaten with crumbed fish, prawns etc)

For variations can serve the rice and sauce with box fish, nando's chicken, steak stir fry, grilled prawns etc.
