INGREDIENTS
1kg chicken cut in pieces ¼ cup oil ¼ cup ghee (Clarified butter) 2 onions finely chopped 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 2 cinnamon stick 2 elachie 2 bay leaves 1 teaspoon tumeric 2 teaspoon Kashmiri chillie powder 2 teaspoon chillie powder 2 teaspoon crushed chillie 2 teaspoon cumin and corriander powder 1 teaspoon gurum masala 2 teaspoon salt 2 heaped teaspoon ginger and garlic paste 1 tablespoon lemon juice 3 tomatoes grated 1 tablespoon tomato paste or puree 1 teaspoon sugar 3 potatoes fried
METHOD
Heat oil and ghee (Clarified butter). Add cumin seeds,bay leaves, cinnamon and elachie. Allow it to sizzle. Add onions and fry till light brown. Add all the spices and ginger and garlic paste. Fry on low heat for a minute. Add chicken and lemon juice and braise well for 5 minutes on high heat. Add tomatoes, paste, sugar and half cup boiling water . Cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Add potatoes and more boiling water for gravy. Simmer for 30 minutes or till potatoes are soft. Garnish with dhunia and green chillie. Once tasted never wasted 😋 Share as received ⭐⭐⭐
