INGREDIENTS
4.5 cups flour
4 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
⅓ cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk mix with 1 tablespoon vinegar or 1 Cup Maas
1 teaspoon ground Nutmeg or ground Cinnamon
pinch of salt
METHOD
Method:
In a blender whisk eggs for abt a minutes and sugar and beat until creamy and light. Add the melted butter and continue to beat. Then add the maas/ Milk, nutmeg and salt and beat well. Add 2.5 cups flour, baking powder and baking soda and mix well. Don’t add in all the flour at once. Add 1 cup mix well and remove from mixer. Work in the last cup by hand, as you may not use all the flour. Dough will be soft and pliable. Roll out dough abt ± 1cm thickness on a floured surface and cut out with a doughnut cutter.
Heat oil to medium and fry about 4-5 doughnuts at a time until golden on each side.

Prepare Syrup before frying your doughnuts
Boil 2 1/2 cups sugar with 2 cups water and 1 Cinnamon stick until it thickens slightly.
Drain & dip doughnuts into syrup & toss in Dessicated coconut or Melted chocolate. Yields about 28
