9 cups desiccated coconut
397g tin condensed milk
155g tin Nestle cream
1 teaspoon Elachi (cardomom) powder
3 cups sugar
1 cup water
Red food coloring
Mix coconut, Elachi (cardomom), cream and condensed milk.
Make a syrup. Syrup is ready when dip forefinger and thumb in and forms a "string" between.
Add syrup to coconut.
Mix in, divide in half.
Mix other half with few drops coloring to make pink.
Set down white in a greased tray.
Then set over pink.
Allow to harden in fridge and slice in squares.
We also scoop into mini foil cups, sprinkle with colored badaam nibs. We also color some a light green.
