INGREDIENTS
6 fillets
maizena (corn flour) for dusting
2 cups self rising flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon crushed jeera
½ teaspoon crushed pepper
½ red chillies
1 ¼ cup of water
METHOD
Wash and pat fish dry.
Roll fish in maizena (corn flour) but shake off excess
Sift flour and spices in bowl. Make a well in centre and slowly add
water and beat with spoon or wire beater as you continue to add
water. When batter is good pouring consistency it is ready.
Heat oil well. Dip fish pieces in batter and hold it over bowl so
that excess can run off. Lower into pan and fry 2 or 3 pieces at a
time
