2 Cans Saldana fish in tomato sauce or Lucky Star etc OrAny brand you preferKeep the saucy brine asideRemove the fish the silver and slit each fish open remove the bones and clean outThe stomach etcKeep asideTo pot1 curry spoon oil1 finely chopped or grated onionSauteAddLittle whole Jeeru (Cumin). Little mustard seeds curry leaves and 1 Full teaspoon crushed garlic or few cloves of garlic and little ginger garlic paste2 Torn up Dry Red ChilliWhen aroma arises add
Saute1 tablespoon Suhana Fish masala (I used)
Kashmiri Masala
1 tablespoon Amina fish/ seafood spice 1 teaspoon tumeric1 tablespoon dhana Jeera mixCook few minutes with the onionsAdd 2 or 3 grated tomatoes 2 tablespoon Tomato puree (optional) Cook well for 5 minutesAdd the rest of the tomato brine from the cans Cook 5 minutesAdd lemon juice if you preferNow place the fish slices Shake it into the tomato chutneyAdjust Salt tasteDo not stir too much When. DoneGarnish with chopped shallot and chopped green dhania (coriander)Optional :
Enjoy with soft mielie pap /rice /bread /Roti
