INGREDIENTS
2 kg cleaned crab2 large onionsSalt 1 teaspoon mustard seeds2 tablespoons ground garlic6 large tomatoes1 teaspoon turmeric powder 7 tablespoons chilli powder 1 tablespoon roasted dhania (coriander) jeerah powder 1 tablespoon kashmiri masala 3 green chillies½ a cup black tamarind water
METHOD
Braise 1 onion with mustard seeds in oil.Add crab, 1 onion sliced, garlic and salt.Allow water to completely dry.Add 2-3 cups water and allow to cook.When water has dried, add the rest of the masalas with cubed tomatoes and chillies. Mix well and simmer till tomatoes are cooked. Add in tamarind water, mix and allow to cook on medium heat till gravy sets in.Garnish with fresh dhania (coriander).
