-Add oil to hot pot. Drop in onions. -When onions START to brown, add ginger garlic and all spices and mix quickly. -Drop in the tomatoes and mix quickly. Don't let masala burn. -Drop in plain yoghurt and salt for everything. -Drop in dhania (coriander) and thyme and mix all together. -Drop in the meat and half cup water. Cover and cook on medium heat stirring occasionally. -When meat is halfway done, add the colored potatoes and more water if needed. -Simmer until done. When oil comes to the top, it usually is cooked. -Garnish with dhania (coriander) and serve with roti/naan/rolls.
