INGREDIENTS
Dhal fry
Soak 1 cup chana dhal
Oil
Sliced onion
Braise til light golden.
Then add spices:
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon arad (Turmeric)
1 teaspoon dhana
½ teaspoon jeera
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon ginger garlic
Braise slightly then add
1 grated tomato
2 tablespoon lemon juice
Then add soaked chana and cook on low till done.
Add dhania (coriander) and vagaar.
METHOD
Vagaar:
ghee (Clarified butter)
Sliced onion
Mustard/kulunji seeds
1 teaspoon gharam masala
2 chillies
Curry leaves
Sliced ginger
This one comes out just like My Diner dhal fry.
Serve with hot butter naan roti!
