Tex choc triple deck squares
10 g cocoa
280 g self raising flour
3 large tex bars coarsley
grated
...250 g butter
200 g sugar
5 ml vanilla essence
5 ml coconut essence
160g coconut
topping
100g plain chocolate grated
method...
Heat oven to 180 degrees.
Prepare a baking tray by
lining with baking paper and
coating with non stick spray.
Store grated plain chocolate
in the fridge till ready for
use.
In a large bowl, sift
cocoa&flour together. Mix in
the tex and keep aside.
In a seperate bowl, cream
butter & sugar until light
and fluffy. Add essence and
mix well. Add coconut and
mix. Add the sifted flour
mixture & form a soft
dough. Press evenly about
5mm thick into tray.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
Remove from oven after 5
minutes, cut into squares.
Sprinkle with grated
chocolate while warm
