Boa Buns 2 teaspoon Yeast 2 tablespoon Sugar ½ cup water ( I added alittle more ) 2 ½ cups flours 1/2 teaspoon baking powder½ teaspoon bicarb2 teaspoon salt ¼ cup avocado oil ( I used Veg oil ) Steak Filling :½ rump steak 1 onion sliced 1 red or green pepper sliced sliced carrots1 teaspoon crushed Garlic1 teaspoon grated ginger ½ teaspoon black pepper ½ teaspoon Aromat (a South African Spice)½ teaspoon chinese salt 1 teaspoon bbq spice 2 tablespoon Worchester sauce 2 tablespoon soya sauce 2 tablespoon sriracha sauce1 tablespoon oyster sauce 1 teaspoon brown sugar / honey 1 tablespoon vinegar Optional Corn
Boa Buns :In a small Bowl , Combine the Yeast , sugar and water and stir , set aside for 5 minutes In a large bowl Combine flour , baking powder , bicarb and salt Add the oil and the yeast mixture and knead to make a soft dough < if you using a machine knead for 5 Minutes. oil a bowl and add the dough , cover and allow to rise . Cut about 12 x 4inch parchment paper . Make balls with the dough and roll not to thin , place on paper square , brush the top with oil and fold over , cover and allow to rise again . Add water to your bamboo or metal steamer , add the buns with the paper , close and allow to steam for about 8 to 10 minutes each. Steak : Marinate the steak , add the steak strips and cook on low until tender .
Add slaw or salad of your choice to the bun as well as sauce , add the filling and serve
