RECIPE
Chili paste 4-5 tablespoon coarse chilies¼ cup soy sauce ½ tamarind paste diluted in ¼ hot water ½ teaspoon fresh grated ginger1 teaspoon garlic ¼ teaspoon honey Add chilies to a pot and allow it to heat up. This is the roasting part. Roast for about 1 minute. Keep mixing, you don’t want the chilies to burn. In a separate pot add all the other ingredients. Bring it to a boil, take off the heat and throw into a blender. Add the chilies and blend till it becomes a paste. If you have kids around you may want to open as many doors and windows when roasting the chilies, it’s super strong and makes you cough, ALOT!
250g steak ½ red pepper ½ green pepper ½ yellow pepper -optional½ cup soy sauce 2 chopped spring onion stalks4 tablespoon oil ½ teaspoon tamarind paste diluted in ¼ cup of hot water 1 teaspoon garlic 1-2 tablespoon chilli paste
Fry garlic and peppers in hot oil. Then add spring onions and steak. Mix well. Add in chili paste, mix, allow to cook for about 2 minutes. Now add in your liquids. Cook until meat is done. Throw in egg noodles- maggi noodles can also be used. Mix to incorporate everything, add in cashew nuts, mix. Garnish with spring onion.
