INGREDIENTS
2 cups rice pre soaked 1 cup Tuvar seeds (pigeon peas)1 med sized brinjal cut in quarters 1 big potato cut in quarters Qtr onion sliced 1 tablespoon garlic paste 1 tablespoon green chillie paste 2 teaspoon cumin powder 2 teaspoon coriander powder 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon whole cumin seeds 1 teaspoon whole coriander seedsSalt 2 tablespoon oil
Green coriander leaves for garnishing.
METHOD
In a pot heat the oil than add the onions along with the cumin and coriander seeds. 4Add the garlic paste. Cook for 2 minutes. Add the tuvar seeds. Add all the spices than add 1 cup of water , bring to a boil. Now add the brinjal and potatoes. Combine well. Add the rice, adjust salt. Cook on high flame until the water dries out. Now cover the pot, lower the flame and let it steam for 30 minutes. Garnish with green coriander leaves.π serve with Raaita πΆ& kachoomar π₯....
