Family Recipe
INGREDIENTS
• 500g chicken fillet cut into strips or cubes• 1 teaspoon Mochachos spice• 1 teaspoon Adegas spice• 1 teaspoon Chillie powder• 1 teaspoon crushed Jeeru (Cumin)• ½ teaspoon arad (Turmeric)• 1 teaspoon Lemon pepper• 1 teaspoon Garlic pepper• 2 tablespoon Lemon juice
Add all or omit any of the ffg sauces to your discretion and taste preference ( abt a tablespoon of each )Also according to what you may or may not have on hand 😉• Mamas Peri Peri sauce• Minnies Mozambican sauce• Red pepper chutney• A dash of mustard sauce• A dash of tomato sauce• 1000 Island salad dressing• Maggie chilli sauce or any alternative chilli sauce • Minnies Portuguese peri peri sauce • Steers Peri peri sauce • Steers Tikka Sauce• Nandos Bushveld braai (bbq) sauce• Nandos Garlic sauce • Nandos Wild Herb sauce• 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste
Ingredients for Garlic potatoes:
• Garlic butter• Lemon pepper• Garlic pepper• Aromat (a South African Spice)• Robertsons crushed garlic• Parsley
3 potatoes cut into small cubes and deep fried
METHOD
Boil +-2 cups of rice & set aside
Marinate chicken with spices and cook well together... when almost done add in your sauces of choice
Garlic potatoes :-Melt garlic butter in a pan. Then add in spices and braise. Add in fried cubed potatoes and toss well together
Layer in a deep casserole dish... 1st rice... then top with the garlic potatoes....lastly add the chicken.
Garnish with crumbled feta cheese, peppadews , sliced jalapenos & chopped spring onions or coriander
Steam in the microwave before serving for about 6-8 minutes.
Serve hot and enjoy
