Step 1a:3 Tablespoons fresh mint leaves1 Small onion (sliced)1 Large green chili (halved) Step 1b:½ Kg mutton minced1 Teaspoons salt or as per taste1 Teaspoons chili flakes½ Teaspoons all spice (garam masala)3 Tablespoons roasted crushed chickpea⅓ Teaspoons turmeric powder½ Teaspoons coriander powder1 Teaspoons ginger garlic pasteOil for frying Step 2a:½ Cups oil1 Teaspoons cumin seeds10-15 Black pepper corns7 Cloves1 Cinnamon stick1 Bay leaf1 Onion (finely chopped) Step 2b:1 Tablespoons ginger garlic paste1 Tomato (made into a paste)1 Cups yoghurt1 Teaspoons red chili powder1 Teaspoons coriander powder½ Teaspoons turmeric1 Teaspoons salt or as per taste Step 2c:½ Cups fresh coriander leaves2 Green chili (large)
Blend together ingredients from step 1a. Now add ingredients from step 1b and blend well. Once blended shape into round balls (kofta). In a pan add oil and fry kofta till nicely browned and set aside.In a pan add ingredients from step 2a and fry until the onions turns into a light golden brown colour. Add ingredients from step 2b, mix well, cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes add the fried kofta and cook for 2 minutes. Now add 2 cups water, cover and cook on low heat for 20 minutes.Add ingredients from step 2c, cover and cook for 10 minutes.Delicious kofta is now ready. Enjoy!
