INGREDIENTS
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour¼ cup finely ground almonds½ teaspoon fine salt1 teaspoon baking powder½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda 1 cup normal white sugar 2 eggs¾ cup maas / sour milk1 teaspoon vanilla essence½ cup oil Icing sugar
METHOD
Preheat oven to 160°C.
Grease a 20cm round cake tin and keep aside.
Mix the flour, ground almonds, baking powder, bicarb and salt in a dish and keep aside.
In a separate bowl, add the eggs, sugar, maas, vanilla and oil. Using an electric hand mixer, beat until well blended and then add to dry ingredients. Mix lightly and pour into greased baking tin. Bake for approximately 15 minutes, risen and golden brown. Remove, cool and sprinkle with icing sugar. Taste is absolutely mouthwatering.
