1 & ½ chickens cut & washed4 medium potatoes peeled and cut in 42 medium tomatoes grated / liquidised1 big onion or 2 medium chopped fine In pot braise onion in oil with:2 cinnamon sticks2 cardomom pods1 teaspoon cumin seeds2 whole black peppers2 clovesOnce onion turns golden brown, add:2 teaspoons ginger garlic1 teaspoon sujees ginger garlic paste @sujees_masala1 teaspoon sujees peri peri masala @sujees_masala1 teaspoon fine red chilli powder1 teaspoon cumin powder2 teaspoons coriander powder½ teaspoon coarse red chilli powder¼ teaspoon turmericSalt to tasteAdd chicken, potatoes, tomatoes and tomato paste. Mix well. Once it sizzles add water and cook till done and potatoes are soft. Serve with rice and onion sambals. Alternatively one can cook the potatoes in the microwave and add to the cooked curry.I cut potatoes into 4. Put in a microwave safe dish with ¼ cup water, salt, fine red chilli powder, a pinch of tumeric and a Drizzle of oil and microwave for 12-14 minutes. Depending on your microwave.Also if using fried onions, add all ingredients to pot, add chicken and cook everything together.
