INGREDIENTS
1 roll puff pastry
1 green apple
Half cup water
Half cup brown sugar
1 TB cinnamon powder
1 TB cornflour
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Egg wash
METHOD
Peel and roughly chop apples.
Place in a saucepan with water,sugar,cornflour, cinnamon powder and lemon juice.
Stir well and cook until the apples have softened and the mixture has thickened.
Roll out puff pastry into a suitable pie dish,prick with a fork.Spoon over the pie filling,evenly.
Add another layer of puff pastry on the top or arrange a lattice pattern.
Spread with egg wash and bake at 180 for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
INFO & TIPS
Serve with ice cream,custard or cream.
