Silky custard, golden caramel, a buttery biscuit crumb… and that irresistible caramel crunch. Inspired by @shivesh17’s microwave caramel pudding, but made on the stove and given a biscuit–caramel crown. 🍮
🍮 Caramel Custard Pudding with Biscuit & Caramel Crunch
Caramel:
4 tablespoon sugar
4 teaspoon water
Heat sugar and water in a saucepan until golden. Quickly pour into dessert bowls or ramekins, swirling to coat the base. Let set.
Pudding:
2 ½ cups milk
4 tablespoon sugar
4 tablespoon custard powder
Mix all pudding ingredients in a saucepan. Stir continuously over medium heat until thick and bubbling.
Pour hot custard over the set caramel. Let cool, then refrigerate until chilled and set.
To serve:Unmould the pudding onto plates. Sprinkle biscuit crumbs and crushed caramel over the top. Garnish with caramel shards and an almond dipped in caramel for an elegant finish.
