Tender chicken smothered in a zesty orange juice sauce, topped with vibrant peppers and sweet oranges 🍊🐓
- 1 chicken, cut in 8's- 3 tablespoon flour- 1 teaspoon Aromat (a South African Spice)- 1 teaspoon pepper- ½ teaspoon salt- 1 teaspoon dried parsley- 2 tablespoon Steers Peri Peri sauce- 2 tablespoon Prego sauce- 2 tablespoon Nandos sauce- 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice- 1 tablespoon garlic- 1 red pepper- 1 green pepper- 1 onion- Green chillies
METHOD
1. Mix flour, Aromat (a South African Spice), pepper, salt, and parsley. Roll chicken in mixture and shallow fry until coated and semi-cooked.2. Place chicken in Pyrex.3. Fry sliced peppers and onion in leftover oil.4. Mix peri peri sauce, prego sauce, nandos sauce, orange juice, and garlic. Pour over chicken.5. Top with fried peppers, onions, and green chillies.6. Cover with foil and bake until done (± 30 minutes).7. Plate and top with sliced oranges and parsley.
INFO & TIPS
I served with butternut, carrots and roasted potatoes.
