Chicken, chickpeas and all the warm spices… served with hot, puffed puris.
Simple and so good!
🍛 Chicken & Chickpea Curry with Puris

RECIPE
500g chicken (cut in pieces)
2 cups chickpeas (boiled until soft) ( I soak overnight and pressure cook for 15 minutes)
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
Salt to taste
2 teaspoon red chilli powder
½ teaspoon turmeric
1½ teaspoon coriander powder
3 tomatoes, chopped
2 green chillies, sliced
½ teaspoon garam masala
Fresh coriander & green chillies (for garnish)
Method:
1. Fry onions in a little oil until golden.
2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 1 minute.
3. Add chicken pieces and sauté for a few minutes.
4. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric and coriander powder. Mix well.
5. Add chopped tomatoes and sliced green chillies.
6. Add chickpeas + water as needed. Cook until chicken is tender.
7. Finish with garam masala.
8. Garnish with coriander and green chillies.

Puris
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
½ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon baking powder
¾ cup warm milk
Method:
1. Mix flour, salt, oil and baking powder.
2. Add warm milk to form a soft dough. Rest for 15 minutes.
3. Roll out a large rectangle and cut into squares, or make small balls and roll rounds.
4. Fry in hot oil until puffed and golden
