INGREDIENTS
60g butter. 375ml sugar
2 egg yolks. 5 ml vanilla
4 cupa cake flour. 15 ml baking powder
1 ml salt. 100 ml milk
50 ml cocoa. 50 ml water
METHOD
1. Beat butter and sugar together. Add egg yolks and beat well. Add vanilla
2. Sift flour.baking powder and salt together and add with milk to creamed mixture. Mix to a stiff dough add more milk if required
3. Divide mixture in two. Mix cocoa powder and water until smooth and add to one portion
4. Sprinkle work surface lightly with flour. Roll out mixtures seperately to a thickness of 3mm place one on top of the other and roll up
5. Seal in plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm
6 cut 5mm thick slices and place on greased baking trays
7. Bake in preheated oven @ 180' for 12-15 minutes
8. Turn onto a wire rack to cool. Store in an airtight container
