INGREDIENTS
1 punnet white mushrooms
1 packet cornflakes crumbs
½ cup cake flour
2 eggs
1 ½ teaspoon chicken spice
1 teaspoon peri peri powder
oreganum
¼ cup grated cheese (cheddar / parmesan)
oil for frying
METHOD
rinse mushrooms, and dip into plain cake flour making sure to coat well
mix together remaining ingredients
whisk eggs in a separate bowl
heat oil until warm (not too hot)
dip the floured mushrooms into egg and then into crumb mixture
fry until golden brown and serve immediately
INFO & TIPS
grate cheese on the fine side of grater so it stickes better to the mushrooms
