100g butter 1 cup castor sugar pinch of salt 1⁄4 cup milk 3 eggs 1 cup flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon caramel essence 1 tin koo apple slices
Syrup: 3⁄4 cup sugar 125 ml fresh cream
Mix all ingredients except apples to form a cake batter. Pour dough into greased spring foam cake tin. Press apples gently into batter spreading out evenly. Bake at 180 degrees for approximately 45 minutes.
Boil: 3⁄4 cup sugar 125 ml Fresh cream
Pour over tart after baked while still hot so that syrup seeps in to the cake. Cool and decorate with drizzles of nestle cream and crushed pecan nuts or as desired.
