INGREDIENTS
1 whole sheet puffed pastry. Store bought. (Woolies)
¼ cup brown sugar
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 apple cored; halved and sliced
Carnation caramel treat
2-3 tablespoon chopped peacan nuts
METHOD
Preheat oven to 200 deg.
Place the puffed pastry rectangle onto a baking pan that has been sprayed with non stick spray.
U can shape the pastry depending on what type of baking dish u are using.
Slice the apples thinly. Add the sugar; salt and lemon juice to the apples.
Arrange the apple slices onto the pastry in a straight line overlapping as u go.
I drizzled a small amount of caramel on the apples before baking it approx 1 tablespoon and try not to go near the edges of the pastry.
Bake until the pastry is puffed and golden about 20-25 minutes
Remove from pan immediately and place on a serving platter. Drizzle more caramel sauce on top and garnish with the peacan nuts.
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (optional)
