Cheese and Fruit Board
Author : Foodeva Marsay
( @foodeva_marsay )
~Use an assortment of cheeses, bite size biltong, assortment of crackers, olives and fresh fruit .
~Here I used Camembert Cheese, blocks of Cream Cheese, Cubed Gouda to go with pickled onions and cocktail Tomato onto a toothpick/skewer,Layer these onto a bed of Salad Greens, also thinly Sliced White cheese, mild Cheddar or tussers.
~I also used a ΒΌ Watermelon deseeded and cubed, keep the shell, Spanspek(Cantaloupe), strawberries, Grapes(red and green), Blueberries and Kiwi Fruit. Cut fruit with little cutters, added some to skewers/lollipop sticks and others simply filled onto the cleaned, empty Watermelon shell.
~Biltong, Add a variety of cuts or shavings to suit different palettes.
~Add the Olives, Green or black, in a seperate little dish, and place onto the cheese board.
~Have extra toothpicks/skewers as well as small serving plates, nearby so your guests can easily help themselves.
~arrange all these attractively on a large Board or Platter.
And Enjoyπ
*Notes by Foodeva Marsay...
- you could bake the Camembert Cheese for a little while and top with nuts and honey, but it is perfect served as is as well.
- you could also use thinly sliced cold cut meats instead of biltong.
