3 cups fresh mielies (kernels cut off cob)
3 tablespoon ghee (Clarified butter) (clarified butter)
1⁄2 - 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
1⁄2 teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon chilli powder
Macon (diced- optional)
Lancewood sour cream
Fry on medium heat till kernels are tender and start to crispen around edges. If using macon add in when mielies are half done.
Drain on kitchen paper, toss with spices. Serve with dollop of sour cream and garnish with chives.
