1 large onion (sliced)1 piece taj (cinnamon bark)2 Elachi (cardomom) pods1 teaspoon red ginger garlic masala1 teaspoon kashmiri chilli powder1 teaspoon dhana Jeeru (Cumin)½ teaspoon salt¼ teaspoon turmeric powder1 tablespoon brown vinegar1 teaspoon mustard powder250g lean beef mince2 large tomatoes (liquidized)¼ cup tomato sauce1 packet burger buns
Coleslaw-1 cup shredded purple cabbage1 cup frilly green lettuce
½ cup finely grated carrots1 tablespoon lemon juice¼ teaspoon minced garlic¼ cup greek yoghurt2 tablespoon mayonnaise1 teaspoon white vinegarPinch salt½ teaspoon sugar
METHOD
Slaw-
Whisk mayo, vinegar, salt, sugar and garlic.
Mix cabbages, carrots and lettuce.
Pour dressing over and toss to evenly coat.
Mince-
1. Braise onion in oil with taj and Elachi (cardomom) till golden.
2. Add masala and spices and braise till fragrant.
3. Add washed mince with vinegar and mustard.
4. Mix in well and cook till no liquid remains.
5. Add tomatoes and tomato sauce and cook till a thick gravy forms.
6. Slice buns. Spoon on mince with gravy.
7. Spoon on coleslaw. Close the bun and serve.
