No eggNo Potatoes 3 cups flour ( add + more flour if necessary when mixing)¼ cup sugar¼ teaspoon salt1 sachet instant yeast remove 1 teaspoon.1 teaspoon mixed spice½ teaspoon ginger powder½ teaspoon cinnamon powder Now take ½ cup boiling waterStir in 3 tablespoon butter to water to melt the butterAdd ½ cup milk to it..Use this to mix to a soft doughKnead wellRub oil slightly over dough and keep covered in a warm place to rise double in size +- 2 hours Then take ping ball size doughFlatten slightly with side of your hand oblong shapeLet it rise for another ½ hour Heat oil to medium heatFry in medium hot oilTill brown Drain When syrup is doneSee method below Make syrup2 Cinamon stick2 Elachi (cardomom) pods 1 teaspoon rose esence2 ½ cups sugar3 cups water Keep syrup warm on stove and dip koeksister in warm syrup over stove cook -+- 2 minutes Then dust with dessicated coconut..Keep in airtight tupperware
