INGREDIENTS
1 ½ kgs kamquats halved
1 ½ cups Methi (Fenugreek) masala
3 tablespoon salt
3 tablespoon red chillies
½ cup Brown sugar
2 cups white vinegar
2 cups lemon juice
½ cup oil
METHOD
Combine all ingredients.
Then make a vagaar with:
1 ½ tablespoon tal (sesame seeds)
½ tablespoon mustard seeds
1 tablespoon jeeroo
2-3 slit green chillies
Curry leaves
Add to kumquat mixture. Mix well. Bottle. Enjoy
INFO & TIPS
Methi masala and red chillies can be adjusted to taste depending on the heat preferred in achaar.
