Yeild : 8 waffles
Requires : waffle maker
2 eggs separated
¼ cup oil
1 ¾ cup milk
1 ¾ cup flour
4 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon castor sugar
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon smoked Paprika
¼ teaspoon mixed herbs
2 tablespoon chopped spring onions
Beat egg whites stiff set aside.
In a separate bowl sift flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, pepper and Paprika. Add mixed herbs and spring onions.
Whisk together yolks, oil and milk.
Make a well with dry ingredients add liquid and mix well.
Lastly add the the egg whites and gently fold in.
Switch the Waffle Maker on and close the lid.
Once the green light is illuminated, pour a ladleful into the centre.
Close the lid and lock the handle.When the waffles are baked to your liking ( 3-4 minutes, depending on your preference), carefully open the lid and remove from the waffle maker.
Place on a wire rack.
Repeat with the remaining batter.
500g chicken fillet, cubed small
2 tablespoon double thick yogurt
1 ½ teaspoon ginger garlic paste
½ ts garlic paste
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1 smoked Paprika
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ teaspoon dhana jeeru (cumin)
2 tablespoon each :
Calisto mild peri
Calisto medium peri peri
2 tablespoon lemon juice
Marinade all of the above with chicken. Heat pot cook until done leaving it a little saucy.
Toppings of your choice
Chutney / sauce
Spread a layer of chutney or sauce of your choice.
Sprinkle a good amount of cheese, then the chicken filling, then your toppings (I used bell pepper and feta)
Place under the grill to melt cheese
Serve immediately and enjoy 🍽️
