INGREDIENTS
TRIFLE
Ingredients:
1 x sponge cake (cubed)
Jelly
Custard
Mixed Can of Fruit
VANILLA SPONGE
Ingredients:
125g butter
1 ½ cups flour
1 cup castor sugar
3 eggs
¾ cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
3 tspns baking powder
METHOD
TRIFLE
Add the cubed sponge cake into a deep bowl. Add custard onto the sponge. Add the jelly and then the fruit. You should have at least 3 layers of each, each time. You can also add flake chocolate on the top of the trifle.
Vanilla Sponge
Preheat oven to 160 degrees. Add butter and milk and microwave until butter melts. Keep aside. In a separate dish, add eggs and sugar. Beat well until light and fluffy. Add flour and baking powder and mix well. Add melted butter and milk into flour mixture. Add vanilla. Mix well and pour into a well greased baking pan. Bake for approximately 15 minutes until cake has risen and golden brown in colour. Remove, cool and slice into cubes. Enjoy !!!
