Mutton Curry & Veg Rice
By Naseema Khan (zulfis) - MASTER CHEFINGREDIENTS
1 kg cut up mutton
Oil
1 teaspoon vinegar
2 medium onions chopped
2 tomatoes grated
¼ cup tomato puree
1 tablespoon ginger garlic
2 tablespoon chilli powder
¼ teaspoon tumeric (tumeric)
1 Full tablespoon dhana powder
1Tblsp Jeera powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
3 cloves *3 Elachi (cardomom) *4-5 whole black pepper 3 cinnamon sticks
* 3 curry leaves
4-5 potatoes cut in halves length wise
METHOD
Heat oil add the ingredients till aroma arises add onions braise till it changes to light gold colour.
Add the mutton pieces
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon vinegar
Let it braise a while
Add the ginger garlic and the grated tomatoes and the paste
Cook a while for 15 minutes till meats us soft
Now add all the masalas
Cook add 2-3 cups water depending on how much gravy you want let all cook
Lastly add the potatoes
Cook till done
Garnish with green chopped dhania (coriander)
Serve on a bed of veg rice sambals achar
For Veg rice:
Just add handful of mixed veges to pot of rice let it cook
When done drain wash out starch
Keep it plain no wagaar etc
Steam in microwave for 8-10 minutues
