Note:My mum's original recipe says 1 cup flour. This is when I make it in a sheet tray form and cut out squares. You mix flour, sugar, oats & coconut. Melt the butter with golden syrup. Mix the bicarb and hot water & add to butter. Pour into flour and mix well. Pat evenly into a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 180deg till golden. Whilst hot cut into squares and cool. Drizzle with chocolate.
So for a harder biscuit, I use little more flour as needed, and for a chewy biscuit, use 1 cup.
