Butternut Halwa

1 butternut cut into small cubes2 carrots grated2-3 tablespoons ghee (Clarified butter)2 cinnamon sticks2 Elachi (cardomom) pods1 teaspoon Elachi (cardomom) powder3 tablespoons semolina2 cups milk¾ cup Klim PowderPinch of SaffronNibbed almonds 2 tablespoons dessicated coconut 5 tablespoons sugar
MethodBraise butternut, carrots, Elachi (cardomom) pods and cinnamon sticks in ghee (Clarified butter) for a few minutes. Then add in the semolina and braise a bit. Add in milk, Elachi (cardomom) powder, sugar and saffron and cook on low. Once butternut is nice and soft and in klim and cook for a further 10 minutes. If butternut is not soft and it’s drying add in more milk. Add in nibbed almonds & coconut.Serve hot and garnish with shavings of fresh coconut. Enjoy💕💕
