1 cup cake flour (sifted) 1 cup ordinary sugar ¾ cup fresh cream 3 extra large eggs 2 teaspoon baking powder 1 tablespoon vanilla esence Topping-Slivered almonds Sauce- ¼ cup fresh cream 50g butter ¼ cup ordinary sugar
1. Beat all ingredients for cake for about a minute with electric beater. 2. Grease a pyrex or 20cm cake tin. 3. Pour batter in and place in preheated oven at 180degC.4. Bake for approx 35 minutes. 5. Heat butter in a saucepan. 6. Add sugar, mix till melted in.7. Add cream and bring to boil.8. When cake is done. Remove from oven and turn oven onto grill.9. Sprinkle slivered almonds onto cake and pour sauce over.10. Place under grill for 1-2 minutes, then remove and cool before slicing.

I dropped the oven heat to 160degC with 10min left to bake.
