INGREDIENTS
600g cubed steak7 garlic cloves1 tablespoon ginger½ tablespoon salt 4 cups of water
½ cup oil (or less)1 medium onion (thinly sliced)2 peppers (sliced)3 tomatoes (chopped)Optinonal : 2 green chillies (sliced)1 tablespoon ginger / garlic½ tablespoon salt1 teaspoon tumeric3 teaspoon dhana powder3 teaspoon Jeeru (Cumin) powder¼ teaspoon chilli powder1 cup of waterOptional : some maizena (corn flour) mixed in water
METHOD
- In a pot bring the cubed steak to boil with the 4 cups of water on high heat. Skimmed the gunk off. - Add the garlic gloves, salt and ginger. Reduce the heat to low and leave to simmer for 50mns to 1hour- Strain and keep the beef aside. (You may strain and keep the beef stock for other recipes)
- In a pan, heat the oil and braise the ginger garlic- Add the chopped tomatoes and fry it till it becomes mushy- Stir in the peppers and onion. Then add your spices- Reduce heat to medium low and add the boiled steak and cook for 5mns more or less- If you want a thicker sauce, add the mixture cornflour/water to your taste.- Serve with rice.

* You may use boneless beef cubed
* My sauce was thick enough so did not use the corn flour
