INGREDIENTS
5 cups flour1 teaspoon salt1 packet yeast2 tablespoon sugar125g melted butter1 egg beaten1 cup milk 1 cup warm water.
METHOD
Sift dry ingredients. Mix in milk, beaten egg & melted butter. Add water to form a soft sticky dough. Knead dough well, transfer to a oiled dish, cover & leave to rise until double in size..Once risen roll out dough. Spread butter, sprinkle sugar & mixed spice, raisins. Roll up like a swissroll & cut in slices. Brush with egg & bake till golden brown. When cooled drizzle with a glaze icing.
For glaze use icing sugar & very little milk depending how thin u want it.
