3 Tblspns milk 3 Tblspns ghee (Clarified butter) 4 cups chana flour (chick – pea flour) 1 cup ghee (Clarified butter) 2 cups icing sugar ½ cup ground almonds ½ teaspoon nutmeg
Boil milk and the 3 tablespoons ghee (Clarified butter), add to chana flour and mix well. In a thick base pot heat the 1 cup ghee (Clarified butter) then add the chana flour and braise well on a medium heat until golden brown, approximately ½ - hour. Remove from heat and add icing sugar, almonds and nutmeg, mix well and leave to cool. Form into oblong shapes and wrap in wax paper or set in a tray. Sprinkle top with roasted slivered almonds When set, cut into blocks.
