INGREDIENTS
¼ cup fresh cream ½ kg gram flour 2 cups ghee (Clarified butter) or 500 g butter ¼ cup roasted almonds 2 tspoons ground Elachi (cardomom) 1 ½ cup icing sugar 2 cup milk powder ( nespray or klim )
METHOD
Bring cream to a gentle boil Remove and add gram flour Mix well to obtain a crumby consistency Set aside to dry for a few hoursUsing a thick based pot melt the ghee (Clarified butter) add the gram flour and stirr over low heat until color darkens This should take about 40 to 50 minutesStirr continuously to prevent scorching Remove from heat and add Elachi (cardomom) powder Allow to cool completelyAdd icing sugar roast nuts and milk powder Mix Press into a greased tray and cut into blocks Decorate with almonds
