INGREDIENTS
1 can chickpeas (drained)1 medium onion chopped1 medium tomato grated1 medium potato diced (cook in the microwave until soft)Cumin seedsMinced ginger and garlicMixed masala or chilli powderdhania (coriander) powderJerru powderTumeric powderGarum masalaSalt and sugar to taste
Chopped dhania (coriander) to garnish.
METHOD
Heat oil and butter in a pot.
Add cumin seeds and saute on medium heat for about a minute.
Then add the chopped onions and cook until soft,then add the minced garlic and ginger. Cook for another minute until soft.
Add the grated tomatoes and all spices, and cooked potatoes,and cook for a bit. Add a little water,to prevent burning
Lastly add the chickpeas,and cook until everything is soft.Adjust seasonings and garnish with chopped dhania (coriander).
Serve with Puri.
