INGREDIENTS
4 cups flour sifted 3 teaspoon crushed fennel seeds (I blitz them in the coffee grinder)1 ½ teaspoon baking powder 1 packet instant yeast 1 teaspoon salt 3 tablespoons sugar
⅓ cup melted butter2 tablespoons oil 1 egg 1/2cup warm milk⅓ cup plain yogurt Enough water to form a firm soft dough
METHOD
1.)Place all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Using your hands gently mix them in together “lifting” it through your hands. 2.) place butter, yogurt, egg , oil and milk in a bowl and whisk it. Add this to dry ingredients and mix in . 3.) add enough water to make a soft and firm dough. Knead for 10 -15 minutes. Wrap with cling wrap and let it proof in a warm place until double in size. Punch down and Roll into a log and cut equal sized balls and shape into rolls. 4.) place in a greased cake tin starting by placing one roll in the center and More around it like flower and so on until all the rolls are placed into the tin. Cover the tin with a dish towel and Let them proof for another 20-30 minutes. 5.) brush with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 180 for 20 minutes or until brown and baked right through.
